Artist Jim Howieson currently resides in Sheffield. Howieson is also joining the upcoming group exhibition stage for EMERGENCY6. His work involves video, objects and photographic works. Describing his own work Howieson says…
‘My practice deals with the modification and re-configuration of commonplace structures and objects. These activities take place out in the world; in public spaces such as galleries, showrooms and leisure centres. Using my own direct interactions with these environments as a starting point, the work develops through processes of performance, temporal intervention and documentation. Currently my attention is focused on the mediation of these actions and documentation as a form of production in itself.’
